Where the processes take place:
- Photosynthesis takes places in a chloroplast of plant by taking in light, making sugar (glucose) and oxygen.
- Also photosynthesis is the process that provides energy for all life.
- Light Dependent happens in they thylakoids and Light Independent happens in the Stroma.
- In respiration glycolysis and anaerobic take place in the cytoplasm.
- Aerobic Respiration takes place in the center of mitochondria (cristae/matrix).
- Then Krebs Cycle takes in the cristae and Electron Transport Chain takes place in the inner membrane space of the mitochondria.
Chemical Equations for Light and Dark Reactions (Photosynthesis)
Light and dark reactions are the process in photosynthesis. Light reactions break down water and release oxygen. When the light break the water it makes hydrogen electrons (H-) excited and makes them travel through the ETC (Electron Transport Chain). Electrons turn NADP+ into NADPH. As the electrons travel from one place to another hydrogen protons (H+) pump in and join ADP + P, to make ATP. The equation for light dependent is water + light energy = ATP + NADPH + O2
Dark reaction- CO2 was absorbed from the air and then we spent 6 ATP and NADPH to help the process split the CO2. In the stroma, there are 5-carbon molecules waiting to accept a carbon from the split CO2. When carbon is added to the 5-carbons, the created 6-carbon molecule is then split into 2 3-carbons. When six of these molecules are created, five of the 6-3 carbons stay in the Calvin cycle while one of them exits. The 1-3 carbon is released from the Calvin Cycle. It moves out of the chloroplast and joins with another 3-carbon to make sugar. The equation for light independent is 602 + 12NADPH +6ATP = C6H12O6. Overall equation 6H2O + 6CO2 + light = C6H12O6 + 6O2.

ATP Production (Respiration)
Respiration is the process of breaking down glucose and making ATP. Glycolysis use 2 ATP and NAD+ to break down glucose. After breaking down glucose, it make NADPH, ATP, and pyruvic acid.if oxygen is present aerobic will occur in the krebs cycle pyruvic acid used 0 ATP and create 2 ATP CO2 FADH and NADH. The electron transport chain used NADH and FADH2 to produce 34ATP and water.

How They Work Together?
Photosynthesis absorbing the light to have the energy to break down water and excited the electron. Then the electron will move through the electron transport chain to create ATP and NADPH. After that ATP and NADPH will be used to create glucose. Respiration is the process of breaking down glucose to make ATP. When photosynthesis produce glucose, it will go over respiration to break it down and create ATP, NAD+, and pyruvic acid. Then it will be used to create NADPH and more ATP. Finally ATP and NADPH used to creating more ATP and H2O.
