- Respiration - making ATP for the cell
- Cristae - Each of the partitions in a mitochondria. Connected to the inner membrane that increase the surface area so that the cell can make more ATP.
- ATP- Adenosine Triphosphate= one molecule of adenosine bonded to three phosphate molecules the phosphate can be broken off, releasing energy to do work for the cell
- ADP- Adenosine Diphosphate
- Glycolysis- Process of breaking sugar. The metabolic that converts or breaks down carbohydrates and sugar.
- Anaerobic- The respiration that occurs without the need of oxygen. In this process, the molecules carry oxidation.
- Aerobic- Oxygen is always requires and the molecules of food are broken down to obtain energy.
- Kerb Cycle- A complex series of chemical reactions that produce carbon dioxide and ATP.
- Pyruvic Acid- When carbohydrates and sugar borken down. It can turn into different acids depending if there is oxygen present.
- NADPH- Is a biological chemical which long with ATP is necessary for the Calvin Cycle during the process of photosynthesis.
